Shrimanta Shankar Academy (SSA), a society engaged in spreading the teachings of Shrimanta Shankar Dev, the great saint of medieval Assam, has been formed in 1992 and has its registered office at Dr. J.C. Das Road, Panbazar, Guwahati – 781001 (Assam).

Since its inception, the society has been engaged in establishing educational institutes. As its first venture, the society has established “Shrimanta Shankar Academy” at Panbazar, Guwahati that happens to be the First Junior College in Assam.
